We have got a reply to Becky's earlier email to our artist Ainjel Emme on finishing our video.
This is what she said:

We are back :)

Half term is over and we are back to 6form. Today in lesson we took notes on the best ways to evaluate our music video. We spoke about perhaps doing an interview style, maybe on a stage or in the media rooms while they are watching. We also thought about perhaps going out onto the streets and taking a questionnaire with us and asking them questions after showing the video on an ipod.






We will also be making a start on our magazine advert next lesson.

What now?

Well, our video is now complete. Suddenly there is nothing to do!

It is half term now, and once we go back we will start our planning for our advert and digi-pack. Our friends Chris and Katie have already done their advert and they said it was very difficult and annoying, even though their's was quite simple, which is how they wanted it. So i think we will need to think carefully about what our advert will look like, and i dont think that it should been too detailed and intricate, as we will be making things alot harder for ourselves!

In the mean time here is some research of magazine adverts:

This is for Noah and the Whale-i like this because it has a sunny summertime type picture which reflects the name of the album: The First Days of Spring. also it is very simple and apart from the main picture there is anything else apart from the writting, except for the star's and some sort of logo

This is an example of a media student's magazine advert i found on the internet. again i chose this to talk about as it was simple and not too fussy. it gives you the relevant information and the picture clearly shows you that it is an advert for an album. i think they did a good job.

this is for Paramore. It is for a single rather than an album but again is very simple. It is also very different and quite sweet so if i was looking through a magazine i would stop to read this. Especially since i am a fan so seeing Paramore in big letters would make me read it anyway.

I found out today that yesterday Becky and Charlotte emailed our artist, Ainjel Emme to let her know that we have finished our video, and asked if she wanted to see it. This is what they sent:

We have finally finished our music video! All the editing is finished, Mr Johnson has watched it and has nothing extra to put in and can see nothing that needs changing, so we are done :)
Now we will be starting our magazine advert and digi-pack.



Although i am sad that its all over, as it was good fun and we really enjoyed doing it :'(

Welcome to the Chris and Katie show....

Last lesson we didnt have much to do , and the computer room was packed so me and Becky decided to help some friends out. As part of their evaluation, Chris and Katie wanted to film people being interviewed about their music video and we agreed to be interviewed. Katie and her friend Stacey set up a chat-show set on our school stage and me, Becky and Stacey became the shows guests, with Chris and Katie as the hosts, asking us questions about the video. After, they uploaded this onto the imac's and it looked very effective and was a fun and interesting way of evaluating their video.

I HATE APPLE MACS :(

i have been editing today and the whole time throughout the imovie software keeps shutting down. It has currently frozen on me and i am now going to wait to see if it comes back. If not i will turn the mac off.

Lucky that i saved my work before it froze! :O otherwise i would not be a happy bunny!!

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner.....

Today we went back to London and did some more filming and this time we had Ricky with us aswell. First we went back to Regents Park and filmed at the fountain and tree, but this time with both Becky and Ricky. when we edit this part we will put it in black and white and towards the end of the video, so when people watch it, they will see that when Becky is on her own at the beginning she is remembering the good times she had with him. The weather wasnt great but we managed to get done everything we needed, despite being stopped in oxford street by some strange paintballer men :) but we did have fun.

Nearly Finished :D

We are soooooo nearly finished our editing. We have spent all of this week doing our editing and today re-filmed Becky writing on the board as the last time it was a bit too slow, even after we had sped it up. It is now perfect and fits, so we are going to london tomorrow to re-film the walking scene. We are also going to do a walking scene with both Becky and Ricky, and also go back to Regents Park and film in the same places as last time but this time with Ricky as well.
